2-3:20 p.m. – SSH Equity Core Team: "Student Voices"

• • We'll be hosting a conversation with a classroom of De Anza students about their past and present reading habits and preferences to explore pleasures, meanings and difficulties in our current reading practices. We will reflect on questions like: How are our current students reading? What is meditative reading?  How can we read efficiently and effectively and with focused intention? Is reading an equity issue? Professor Jesus Quintero will join us to discuss his many years of experience teaching writing and reading to first-generation college students. Join us for a dynamic discussion that highlights meaningful reading experiences and proven strategies.
